"Hilma Hooker Wreck"

The Hilma Hooker is the name of the ship above. It was caught by the Bonaire authorities smuggling dope and was sunk in about 70 ft of water to create a dive attraction.

This is one of my first underwater photographs taken in Bonaire in 1998. The bow of the ship was at about 60 ft. The diver is was my dive body for the week. He gave me some good tips on underwater photography which helped me get started in the right direction early on.

Photographed with a Nikon N90s in a Sea&Sea NX90 housing with two Ikelite 50 strobes. Nikon 20mm f2.8 lens. Fuji ISO 200 print film scanned with a Nikon LS-2000.
